Jeff Magloire is the designer behind Dr. Lucas, a narrative design house based in Chicago and working globally. Born in Haiti and shaped in Brooklyn, he builds one-of-one garments, wedding story systems, and cultural commissions from identity, heritage, love, place, and legacy.
Long biography
Jeff Magloire was born in Haiti, shaped in Brooklyn, and is building in Chicago. His background in engineering informs structure and precision; music, travel, cultural curiosity, and personal history inform rhythm, emotion, and visual language. Under the name Dr. Lucas — his creative signature, not a medical title — he designs garments, objects, and moments that translate a person's story into something wearable and lasting. The house works by conversation first: names, places, music, and memory become the map inside a lining, the handwriting at a cuff, the color held in reserve.
