House of Dr. Lucas · The material library
Cloth with character.
Chosen for your story.
The softness of a gown. The line of a tuxedo. From considered foundations to exceptional silks and Italian wool, the right fabric serves the person, the silhouette and the occasion — not just a label.
Signature · Premium · Couture. Three material tiers, separate from your finished commission investment. We explore sourcing from budget to premium; each exact cloth requires sample and availability confirmation.
Bridal / evening
Fibre, weave, silhouette.
Silk is a natural fibre. Satin is a weave with a smooth, lustrous face — it may be silk, polyester or a blend. Mikado describes a structured fabric construction; it is not always silk. Composition and weight must be confirmed, never inferred from the name.
Drape creates movement; structure holds volume. Sheer cloth may need lining, changing comfort and weight. View the sample against your skin, in daylight and camera flash before choosing.
Italian suiting
Refinement, with resilience.
A Super number describes wool fibre fineness, not the best suit for every life. Around 260–300 g per running metre is an all-season reference; lighter tropical and open-weave cloth can suit warmer settings. Width, weave and lining matter.
For classic black tie, consider matte wool barathea or crisp wool–mohair. Exceptionally fine wool and cashmere blends reward careful wear but can be delicate. Named Italian mills below are independent benchmarks, not House partnerships or guaranteed inventory.

A sample begins the conversation.
Your story completes it.

Wedding creative direction from $1,250 and wedding design direction from $2,000 are separate direction-only services, not completed gown-and-tux wardrobes.
